Serving at Heart of the Bay

Serving is a great way to grow spiritually, create lasting friendships and use your God-given talents and desires for the work of the ministry. It’s about getting involved in something that’s bigger than you. We were created to live beyond ourselves, just as Jesus did. As we serve, we become more like Jesus and are shaped into the people we’re called to be. Service is significant whether it’s in the nursery or as an usher – what counts is the heart behind it.

Serving on a team can be one of the most rewarding things in church life. Jesus said it very clearly, “Whoever wants to be the greatest among you, must be the greatest servant.” HBCC has been built over the years with a spirit of servanthood by a committed and faithful volunteer army.

If you desire to serve in any area of ministry at HBCC, you must complete our Membership Class, which is held three times a year. For more information regarding the Membership Class, please clink on the Membership link below. You must be at least 14 years old to serve in any area of ministry; however, some ministries do have an older minimum age requirement.

If you have already completed our Membership Class and wish to serve, you can complete and submit the Involvement Opportunities form online. Or if you prefer, you can download and print the Involvement Opportunities application and mail it to the church office to the attention of Involvement Opportunities.
