Our Beliefs

THE TRINITY
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (John 1:1, 1:14, I John 5:7)

DEITY OF CHRIST
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven, His high priestly ministry, and His personal return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6, Luke 1: 30-33)

THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as the Holy Spirit instructed them. We accept the Word of God as our guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21)

SALVATION
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The new birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life. (John 3:16, Romans 10: 9-10)

SANCTIFICATION
We believe that the Doctrine of Sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, beginning with the new birth and continuing throughout one’s life. (I Thessalonians 5:23; II Peter 3:18)

WATER BAPTISM
We believe that baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment of our Lord to those who have been born again. This ordinance is a symbol of the Christian identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. This experience, subsequent to the new birth, is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers. We also believe in the gifts and manifestations of the Spirit as described in I Corinthians12:4-11, Matthew 3:11 and Acts 1:8, 2:1-4.

DIVINE HEALING
We believe in the provision of bodily healing in the atoning work of Jesus our Savior.  Healing and wholeness are God’s will for mankind’s spirit, mental realm and physical body. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, I Peter 2:24)

RETURN OF THE LORD
We believe in the soon coming and eminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.  At the time of the rapture, “…the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we (believers) which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloud, to meet the Lord in the air…” forever in His presence. The lost shall also be resurrected into eternal punishment, forever separated from the Lord. (I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
